Job Description: We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented GMP Operations Technicians to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the production and manufacturing of medicinal cannabis products while ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will be an organized team player who thrives in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. Additionally, you may be required to assist with Cultivation activities at times.

This position may require flexibility in working hours, including weekends and rotating shifts, depending on production needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the seamless transfer of harvested cannabis material from the Cultivation area to the GMP-certified processing facility, ensuring proper handling and compliance with facility protocols.
  • Perform both machine and manual trimming of cannabis flowers, ensuring that they are uniform, visually appealing, and free from any contaminants, while preserving product quality and potency.
  • Prepare cannabis material for the drying process and actively monitor drying conditions, ensuring that optimal temperature and humidity levels are maintained.
  • Conduct regular moisture level checks throughout the drying process, ensuring proper tracking and determining when the material has reached the desired outcome for subsequent processing.
  • Perform Bulk and Finished Goods packaging, ensuring that materials are properly packaged, labeled, and sealed.
  • Maintain strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and health & safety protocols to ensure a compliant and safe working environment.
  • Operate and maintain key production equipment involved in the trimming, drying, and packaging of medicinal cannabis products, ensuring equipment is functioning efficiently and producing high-quality outputs.
  • Perform regular cleaning and sanitization of production equipment and work areas, ensuring that all facilities are organized, clean, and compliant with GMP standards to prevent contamination.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all production activities, including equipment logs, batch records, raw materials used, waste material generated, and quality control checks, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal auditing requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality Assurance and Cultivation, to ensure product integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and process issues, escalating problems when necessary.
  • Perform routine inventory checks to track stock levels of raw materials, finished products, and packaging supplies, and ensure accurate records are maintained for efficient production planning.

To be successful in this role you need to:

  • Have high school diploma or equivalent; degree in science or related field preferred.
  • Have previous experience in a GMP-compliant production environment or Cannabis Industry is preferred, but not essential.
  • Have basic understanding of GMP, SOPs, and regulatory requirements within a manufacturing setting.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Be able to perform physical labor, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Have basic computer skills for record-keeping and data entry.
  • Have the ability to follow strict protocols and adhere to regulatory requirements.
  • Have your own transportation.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 20kg.
  • Comfortable working in a cleanroom or controlled environment with the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to stand, sit, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
