About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Acute Services team as Senior Clinician, where you will be responsible for:

  • Providing direct, high-level clinical services to children and families with complex needs, while guiding best practice in assessment, intervention, and therapeutic support.
  • Supporting the professional growth of staff and students through mentoring, training, and clinical supervision, fostering a skilled and confident workforce.
  • Leading quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice, ensuring care is culturally appropriate, integrated, and responsive to community needs.
  • Championing interdisciplinary teamwork and build strategic partnerships across sectors to enhance service delivery and child wellbeing outcomes.
  • Model reflective practice, uphold professional standards, and actively contribute to a workplace culture that values respect, learning, and accountability.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work (eligible for AASW membership) or Psychology (with general registration under the Psychology Board of Australia).
  • Extensive clinical expertise in psychosocial assessment and therapeutic intervention with children and families facing complex issues (e.g. trauma, domestic violence, mental health, substance use).
  • Demonstrated success in clinical supervision, mentoring staff and students, and driving continuous quality improvement in service delivery.
  • Deep knowledge of child development, trauma-informed care, attachment theory, and the social determinants of health.
  • Strong operational capabilities, including risk management, care planning, and working within relevant legislation, ethical standards, and health service frameworks.
