About the Role
Dealer – Treasury, you will be responsible for executing daily treasury dealing activities, managing funding and liquidity, and overseeing cash flow operations. You'll work within approved risk limits and policies, while also building and maintaining relationships with wholesale financial market counterparties.
This is a hands-on role that involves investing liquid assets, sourcing wholesale liabilities, managing financial models and databases, and contributing to key reporting processes. Please note that this role is a Fixed Term contract for 8 months.
Key responsibilities that are but may not be limited to are as follow
- Execute daily dealing transactions aligned with ALCo and senior management strategies.
- Manage daily cash positions and invest liquid assets.
- Source wholesale market liabilities including 11AM cash, NCDs, and term deposits.
- Maintain and develop financial market counterparty relationships.
- Process Austraclear transactions and manage settlement queues.
- Maintain Treasury financial models, databases, and reporting tools.
- Contribute to ALCo and Board reporting.
About You
You're a confident and analytical professional with a passion for financial markets. You thrive in fast-paced environments and bring strong relationship-building skills to the table.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Economics or related field (postgraduate highly regarded).
- AFMA Dealer Accreditation – Debt Markets pathway is preferred.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in treasury dealing.
- Proven experience in dealing of treasury products.
Skills & Attributes:
- Advanced Excel and MS Office proficiency.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Excellent communication and time management.
- High integrity and respect for confidentiality.
- Alignment with TMBL values of passion, advocacy, and sustainability.
