About the role

Vicpro Security Pty Ltd, a leading security services provider, is seeking a passionate and dedicated Security - Loss Protection Officer to join our team in Melbourne, VIC 3000. This full-time role will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety and security of our clients' premises and assets.

What you'll be doing

  • Patrolling and monitoring assigned areas to detect and prevent unauthorised access, theft, vandalism, and other security breaches

  • Responding promptly to security incidents, assessing the situation, and taking appropriate action

  • Conducting thorough security checks and inspections to identify and report any potential risks or vulnerabilities

  • Maintaining detailed records and documentation of all security-related incidents and activities

  • Liaising with clients, law enforcement, and other stakeholders as required to ensure a seamless security operation

  • Adhering to all relevant health, safety, and security protocols and procedures

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a security or loss prevention role, preferably in the retail or commercial sector

  • Strong knowledge of security best practices, procedures, and relevant legislation

  • Excellent observation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Effective communication and customer service skills

  • A current security guard licence or the ability to obtain one

  • Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
