The Opportunity

You will be responsible to the Executive Manager Manufacturing & Packaging for the effective and efficient operations of the Plastic Thermoforming Area and will be experienced in the Design, Development, Maintenance of tools and equipment used in the plastic fabrication area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the efficient operation of the Plastic Thermoforming Area and ensuring that all manufactured items are of the required standard.
  • Ensure adherence to QA, Food Safety, HACCP procedures & to maintain responsibilities for HACCP team & documentation as required.
  • Ensure that stock levels of raw materials are appropriate for production requirements.
  • Responsible for the Design, Development, Maintenance of tools & equipment used in the plastic fabrication area.
  • Supervise all staff involved in the plastic fabrication area.
  • Responsible for ensuring accurate stock takes of the plastic fabrication area.
  • Assist in the development of new products and processes.
  • Responsible for staff time keeping records.

Your Skills and Expertise:

  • Ability to effectively supervise staff and achieve necessary production requirements.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience & understanding of system applications for inventory control & transactions,
  • Good understanding of quality assurance and the ability to ensure team meets quality control standards.
  • Be empathetic to the needs to the vision impaired.
  • Sound understanding of machinery and mechanical attitude.

Desirable:

  • Proven experience as a supervisor in a manufacturing environment.
  • Certificate IV Assessment and Workplace Training
  • Certificate IV Disability
  • Front Line Management Qualifications
  • High Risk Forklift license
