Forklift Driver

Border Express currently has exciting opportunities available for multiple experienced and motivated Forklift Operators to join the team on both the AM and PM shifts at our Cranbourne Branchon a full time and casual basis.

The shifts will be Monday to Friday:

AM: 9.00am - 2.00pm (with a minimum of 4 hours but more likely to be 5-7 hours in duration.)

PM: 4.00pm

These positions are responsible for the safe and effective movement of freight within the branch, clearing the floor as well as loading and unloading of our local and interstate trailers.

Duties:

• Undertake safe and effective loading, unloading of freight on and off linehaul and local truck fleet.
• Movement, restraint and storage of freight as required.
• Checking of load restraint, packaging and the condition of freight before it travels.
• Report all damages to freight or forklift to your supervisor immediately;
• Ensure all pallet paperwork and Dangerous Goods paperwork is checked and completed accurately;

Skills and Experience:

• A valid Forklift Licence is essential
• Minimum of 2 years experience operating a forklift with linehaul loading experience advantageous.
• Ability to adhere to WHS and Safety Regulations
• Excellent attitude, a good work ethic and reliability
• Physically fit as this role will also involve some manual lifting
