Are you an experienced Registered Nurse with a passion for emergency care and team leadership? Port Pirie Regional Health Service is looking for a dedicated Clinical Nurse to provide high-level, patient-centred care in our busy Emergency Department. You'll have the opportunity to take on leadership responsibilities, mentor staff, and contribute to a culture of excellence in clinical practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide proficient, person-centred nursing and case management in a fast-paced environment.
• Lead and oversee the delivery of care within the Emergency Department team.
• Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary teams, including doctors, allied health, and external organisations.
• Contribute to clinical education, auditing, and research, fostering a learning culture.
• Lead change management initiatives and ensure high-quality service delivery.

What We're Looking For:

• Registered Nurse with at least 3 years post-registration experience, ideally in Emergency Nursing.
• A passion for mentoring and supporting less experienced staff.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.

Port Pirie Regional Health Service

Located 223 kilometres from Adelaide – Port Pirie is a vibrant city known as the "City of Opportunity" with major retail, attractions, tourism, arts, sporting, and events. Port Pirie Regional Health Service is a 52-bed acute facility inclusive of Emergency, Peri-operative, Renal Dialysis, Chemotherapy, Birthing, Outpatient Services, Acute Medical and Acute Surgical Services with a co-located Residential Aged Care Facility - Hammill House.

With over 15,000 presentations through ED each year along with surgical and direct admissions of patients across the lifespan, the service is supported onsite medical team and onsite SA Pharmacy, SA Pathology, SA Dental Service and SA Medical imaging.

Port Pirie Emergency Department is a dynamic service which sees large volumes of both adult and paediatric presentations. The department sees patients of varying acuity and is an up-transfer facility for many YNLHN sites. Port Pirie ED is a Code Stroke Thrombolysis centre with 24/7 access to CT and radiology. The department is staffed and supported by medical officers and senior nurses providing comprehensive, high-level emergency care to patients.
