PLC Sydney is seeking an exceptional and dedicated Physics Teacher to join our highly regarded Science faculty. This is a full-time, permanent position commencing Term 1, 2026.

As a member of our dynamic team, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and rigorous Stage 6 and IGCSE Physics lessons to students from Years 9 to 12 and Science lessons to Years 7 to 10. We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about their subject, committed to fostering a love of learning, and able to inspire students to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver high-quality NSW syllabus Physics lessons to students in Years , and IGCSE Physics to students in Years 9 and 10. There may be an opportunity in future years to teach AS and A - level Physics.
  • Design and deliver high-quality NSW syllabus Science lessons to students in Years 7 to 10.
  • Create and implement engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences that encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and a deep understanding of core scientific principles.
  • Employ a range of pedagogical strategies to differentiate instruction and meet the diverse needs of all students, from those requiring additional support to those excelling.
  • Utilise modern educational technologies and laboratory equipment to enhance teaching and learning, ensuring a hands-on, practical approach to the subject.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A relevant university degree and teaching qualifications.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Physics at a secondary level, with a proven history of achieving strong academic results.
  • In-depth knowledge of the NSW syllabus, including an understanding of its pedagogical requirements and assessment strategies.
