About the role
This is an interesting and diverse role where you will work collaboratively within a small team to provide confidential, professional, and efficient administrative support to the People & Culture team across all aspects of the employee life cycle and other Human Resources functions such as recruitment, learning and development, Payroll and Work Health and Safety.
About you
You will be self-motivated, have initiative and be forward-thinking, ideally with a background in either Human Resources, Training and Development, Work Health and Safety, Local Government and/ or Administration.
You will have strong attention to detail and the ability to exercise sound judgement, initiative, confidentiality, and sensitivity in the performance of your work.
Additionally, you will have the ability to work effectively within a small team to provide quality customer service and build effective relationships with internal stakeholders.
Relevant qualifications are highly desirable.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Carry out general administrative functions relevant to the work area which are compliant with Council's policies and procedures.
- Assist with coordination and provide administrative support for the facilitation of staff training, including the Corporate Induction.
- Assist with coordination and provide administrative support for the facilitation of recruitment and employee performance reviews.
- Data entry and provide administrative support for the payroll function.
- Data entry and maintenance of the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and SafePlan system.
