Statewide Geotechnical (Aust) Pty Ltd is a Melbourne-based consultancy providing geotechnical investigation services across Victoria and interstate, supported by our extensive NATA-accredited laboratory.

We are seeking an experienced
Geotechnical Driller
to join our team. This role involves travel to various sites around Victoria and occasionally interstate, with some overnight stays required.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

  • Communicate effectively with the Engineering Supervisor.
  • Competency in drilling operations, including:
  • Auger
  • Washbore
  • Wireline diamond drilling
  • Ability to carry out in-situ testing:
  • SPT
  • Vane Shear
  • DCP
  • Experience in sampling methods:
  • U-Tube
  • Bulk samples
  • Safe and efficient operation of drilling rigs and associated equipment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Current HR license (essential).
  • Physically fit for fieldwork duties.
  • Based in Metro Melbourne or able to arrange suitable accommodation.
  • Professional references.

Highly Regarded

  • Experience operating GEOPROBE, COMACCHIO, or HANJIN drill rigs.
  • Victorian Water Bore License – Class 1 or Class 2.
