An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled and passionate Consultant Oncologist to join the Mount Gambier and Districts Health Service on a temporary basis. This role offers the chance to deliver high-quality, patient-centred oncology care in a modern regional hospital, while enjoying the lifestyle benefits of South Australia's beautiful Limestone Coast.
You will work within a supportive multidisciplinary team, providing clinical leadership, teaching, and contributing to ongoing service improvement. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-standard oncology care, including inpatient and outpatient clinical services.
- Provide expert clinical leadership and support a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
- Supervise, mentor and teach junior medical staff, medical students and allied health professionals.
- Contribute to research, clinical audit, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance service outcomes.
Who We're Looking For:
- A qualified Medical Practitioner with Specialist Registration in Oncology with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Demonstrated excellence in clinical practice and a commitment to patient-focused care.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- A commitment to education, clinical governance, and continuous quality improvement.
