Marketing Assistant

Join the Archdiocese of Brisbane's Marketing team and contribute to the delivery of impactful marketing and communication initiatives that support our mission and strengthen community engagement. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, organised, and detail-oriented Marketing Assistant to work in a collaborative and supportive environment.

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Marketing Specialist, you'll provide administration and coordination support for the marketing team. This is a hands-on role with scope to develop your skills in content creation, brand management, and stakeholder engagement. Over time, you will have the opportunity to manage your own local marketing projects, with support from marketing specialists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Publish approved content on agency websites in line with our established style.
  • Drive the social media function, including leading weekly meetings to identify, discuss, and plan upcoming content in line with marketing objectives.
  • Draft engaging social media content (aligned with our brand and marketing objectives) and manage approvals and consent.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing marketing campaigns across print, digital, and social channels.
  • Oversee our online brand templating platform, including managing licenses and brand assets, and working with business areas to ensure the creation of on-brand materials.
  • Assist business areas in a helpful and courteous manner, including via phone and email.
  • Organise events and trade shows, including coordination of displays and materials, logistics, bookings, set-up, and pack-down.
  • Manage the coding, approval, payment, recording, and filing of invoices with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Maintain brand guidelines to ensure consistent visual and written messaging.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Marketing and Communications team.

About You

  • Relevant qualification or experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience using social media platforms and content management systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities.
  • A team player with a willingness to learn and contribute to a values-led workplace.
