Docklands, Victoria, Australia MYER Full time $104,000 - $130,878 per year

From humble beginnings in downtown Bendigo to supporting Australian communities far and wide- Myer has always been a special place, transcending beyond just a place to work.

Myer is a place for finding life-long friendships, a safe space with a big heart. Here, you're encouraged to be yourself, share your ideas and are entrusted to deliver your very best. Some might even say it feels like being "right at home".

  • Exciting opportunity to build out a new planning function within our Marketing team
  • Be a part of a fast-paced, collaborative team
  • Flexible hybrid role - Docklands based office & the comfort of your own home

Myer is looking for a Senior Manager - Marketing Planning to support the development and execution of the Myer Group's unified go-to-market program. This new role is responsible for aligning stakeholders behind integrated marketing plans, embedding personalisation into campaign strategies and ensuring initiatives are strategically timed, data-led and commercially effective. By driving cross-functional collaboration and operational excellence, the Senior Manager - Marketing Operations plays a critical role in maximising the impact of Myer's marketing efforts across all customer touchpoints.

About the role:

  • Collaborate with marketing, merchandise, and channel leads to build a unified, cross-channel go-to-market plan and trading calendar for the Myer Group (Myer, Just Jeans, Portmans, Jacqui E, Jay Jays and Dotti).
  • Lead the regular 'weekly trade' cadence - acting as the central point of contact and decision maker for changes to marketing plans in collaboration with the merchandise and planning teams.
  • Link and integrate brand campaigns, media activity, promotions, PR, loyalty programs, e-commerce, and personalisation initiatives into a cohesive orchestration framework.
  • Ensure the planning approach is data-led, using insights and performance learnings to inform prioritisation, timing, and channel mix.
  • Engage stakeholders across the business to drive alignment, visibility, and confidence in marketing plans.
  • Collaboratively design and embed measurement and ROI frameworks that connect marketing activity to commercial results (offline and online).
  • Partner with the Merchandise team to deliver a unified view of program effectiveness, including recommendations for optimisation and adaptation.
  • Foster a test-and-learn culture, ensuring insights are consistently fed back into future planning cycles.
  • Partner with analytics teams to deliver dashboards and insights that translate marketing performance into clear, actionable outcomes for decision-making across the business.
  • Lead the integration of personalisation approaches across campaigns, ensuring assets, messaging, and timing are tailored to distinct customer segments.
  • Partner with merchandise, loyalty, and data teams to ensure marketing plans are customer-informed and drive personalised engagement.
  • Build frameworks that enable scalable, data-driven marketing while maintaining customer relevance.
  • Lead and develop a small team, providing coaching, feedback, and professional growth opportunities.
  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and data-driven decision making within the marketing function.
  • Manage team member life cycle as per Myer processes.

About you:

  • 8+ years' experience in marketing planning, strategy, commercial, or data-driven roles within large, complex organisations (retail highly desirable).
  • Proven ability to use data and insights to design cross-channel marketing plans in conjunction with wider business teams (e.g. media, marketing, e-commerce, loyalty, merchandise).
  • Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with experience aligning cross-functional teams and senior leaders around unified plans.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience linking marketing activities to sales, gross profit, and overall business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience in measurement frameworks, ROI analysis, performance reporting, and dashboarding — with a proven ability to turn insights into clear recommendations.
  • Solid grounding in personalisation and segmentation strategies, with experience applying customer data to deliver more tailored, relevant campaigns.
  • Advanced analytical skills, with a track record of using insights to shape strategy, drive prioritisation, and influence business outcomes.
  • Proven leadership and people management experience, including coaching, developing, and motivating a team

Benefits to you:

  • Generous team member discounts on all Myer products, including team-member exclusive discounts.
  • Access to lifestyle leave and volunteer leave - arrange work around your life, not life around work.
  • A supportive leadership and team network to set you up for success.
  • Career growth and succession opportunities across the business.

Here, you're not only an employee. You're a valued Team Member with real dreams that we want to help you chase, no matter how big or small. At Myer, we're all about making your work life meaningful. We want you to experience life's special moments fully, which is why we take pride in offering balance and flexible options to get you to where you want to be.

Wherever you are and wherever you're going, we'll meet you there and get you to your destination. With your enthusiasm and our support, we're fully committed to helping you thrive and flourish. The future lies in your hands.
