Avani eliminates wasted resources from the built environment. Our clever integration software allows commercial property clients to seamlessly connect and interact with hundreds of operational points across their portfolios, optimising their building operations, saving on total energy costs, and reducing carbon emissions by transforming any building into a smart, sustainable asset.

We are expanding our front-end web application development team and are looking for an experienced web developer to contribute to the design, development, and implementation of our in-house applications from the ground up.

As a member of this small, dedicated team, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to a number of highly valued products, utilising the latest web development frameworks and tools. Your primary focus will be on front-end development while working closely with the back-end and integration team.

Required skills

  • Expertise in React, NextJS, TypeScript
  • Ability to review the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
  • Designing and implementing clean, robust code
  • Aptitude for analysing complex problems and designing creative solutions in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and adapt to changing project requirements
  • Experience developing microservices
  • Knowledge of writing unit tests, preferably with jest
  • 3+ years experience in web application development

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with Azure services for front end applications (App Service, Container Instance, AKS)
  • Focus on continuous delivery and automated deployments, experience with CI/CD (Azure DevOps)
  • Experience working with component library tooling and/or design systems

Key responsibilities

  • Integrate data from various back-end sources; working closely with the back-end team
