DESCRIPTION OF BUSINESS:

Bernini Stone & Tile is located at 181 Hay Street, Subiaco, WA, 6008 and we urgently need a Stonemason to perform the following duties.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Using hand tools and machinery to cut, shape, and dress stones according to specifications. Cutting tiles into required shapes and dimensions around fitting as required by clients

2. Constructing walls, buildings, and other structures by laying stones with mortar or other binding materials.

3. Repairing and restoring damaged or deteriorating stonework on buildings and other structures.

4. Understanding and interpreting architectural and engineering drawings to plan and execute stonemasonry projects.

5. Selecting appropriate stones and other materials for specific projects based on factors such as strength, durability, and appearance.

6. Operating and maintaining various types of machinery and equipment used in stonemasonry, such as saws, drills, and grinders.

7. Adhering to safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for themselves and others.

8. Estimating the quantity of materials required for a project and calculating the associated costs.

9. Cleaning, maintaining, and repairing tools and equipment to ensure they remain in good working condition.

10. Staying up-to-date with new techniques, materials, and technologies in the field of stonemasonry.

Appropriate candidate must have the following skills, education and experience:

• Education: Certificate III or Certificate IV or Diploma
• Australian Experience: At least 3 + years of Australian Experience OR
• Overseas Experience: At least 3+ years of Overseas Experience
• Specialist: Stonemason
• Work Rights: Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident or Full Work Rights Holder
• Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents will be preferred. Other applicants with full work rights can apply only if they meet the above criteria.

Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
