The team at Getabout Training Services & Tow-Ed are passionate educators who have been supporting the government, corporate and recreational sectors for over 25 years.

Opportunities exist to support the delivery of nationally recognised, competency based training and education that covers 4WD basic and complex operations, 4WD recovery, low risk driving, towing, side-by-side and chainsaw education within the Lithgow region of NSW.

Tasks & responsibilities
  • Deliver current industry training and assessment to students across our full scope of courses covering basic to complex 4WD operations, low risk (defensive) driver education, towing, side by side and chainsaw training.
  • Adhere to applicable companies policies and procedures relevant to the disciplines being delivered.
  • Conduct training courses in a manner that generates authentic learning experiences for diverse learner groups and contexts.
  • Conduct assessments across both written and digital mediums in accordance with company policy.
  • Ensuring that all training sessions are conducted in accordance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements and the safety and well-being of the learners is maintained.
  • Facilitate delivery either onsite at clients locations or at one of our dedicated training facilities.
  • Actively participate in the continuous improvement and development of the business.
Qualifications & experience
  • TAE Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent as outlined in section 1A of the credential policy that forms part of the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (Standards for RTOs).
  • Current Working With Children Check.
  • Current National Police Check.
  • Intermediate computer skills covering Microsoft, Google suites and online based learning and assessment platforms.
  • Understanding of Work Health and Safety policies and procedures.
  • Appropriate assessment processes and techniques to meet the language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) requirements of the work being performed and to the needs of our clients.
  • High level of presentation and communication skills with the ability to engage people from diverse backgrounds and industry.
  • Must own a four wheel drive.
  • Current Australian driver's licence.
  • Hold (and be willing to maintain) a current first aid certificate
Desirables
  • For an immediate start applicants must be able to demonstrate the following: a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in 4WD training and assessment delivery and hold relevant vocational competencies that include 4WD and towing units of competency.
  • Experience working with a Registered Training Organisation.
  • Experience in towing and reversing techniques.
  • Experience in operating side by side vehicles
  • Being available for weekend and weekday courses.
Other requirements:
  • Short listed candidates, will be required to attend our scheduled training courses to understand how they are conducted. Attendance at these courses is a condition of your employment.
  • Ongoing professional development will be covered as part of our continuous improvement practices.
