Formwork Carpenter/ Steel Fixers/ Concreter

Cobuild Civil specialises in providing comprehensive formwork, reinforcement and concrete services. We have projects spanning across the Southwest, Perth and regional Western Australia. We focus our work across the commercial, civil and mining sectors.

The Role

We are now looking for full time and casual Formwork Carpenters/ Steel Fixers and Concreters to join our team based in Margaret River.

Job Requirements:

● Formwork Carpenters

○ Place, spread, vibrate, screed and finish concrete for structures such as ground slabs, suspended slabs, stairs, footings, walls, columns, to Australian safety and quality standards

○ Use tools such as trowel, trowel machines, shovels, screeds, rakes, pressure washers

○ Apply curing compounds and sealants to protect and finish the concrete surfaces

○ Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure completion of tasks

● Steel Fixers

○ Ability to read steel fixing drawings and schedules

○ Experience tying and placing reinforcing bars and mesh

○ Strong attention to detail and quality of work

● Concreters

○ Skilled in pouring, screeding and finishing concrete

○ Knowledge of different types of concrete and finishing techniques

Experience and Skills

· Certificate III or IV

· Demonstrated relevant experience if you don't hold a formal qualification

· Willingness to do prep work i.e. ground slab and footing prep, poly and mesh out

· Good level of physical fitness

· Good work ethic

· Good communication and teamwork skills

· Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to civil construction in Western Australia

· A valid driver's licence or reliable means of transportation

Pay: $37.00 – $55.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 55 per week
