Our mission is to attract, retain and grow the world's best data centre team.
Our people are responsive, innovative and trusted in supporting our customers. Together, we configure the landscape to meet the security, reliability, connectivity and sustainability needs for today and tomorrow.
About the role:
The Services Manager is the key driver of building services on site, ensuring all mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and fire systems are delivered to CDC's standards. You'll manage projects end-to-end, from planning through to commissioning, while coordinating contractors, resolving technical issues, and keeping everything compliant and on schedule. Acting as the main point of contact for service-related queries, you'll work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure quality, safety, and seamless integration across all systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee data centre service projects, managing critical infrastructure and technical services to ensure successful delivery.
- Handle project planning, change management, customer coordination, reporting, and internal stakeholder engagement.
- Collaborate with contractors to identify and mitigate risks in service trades, documentation, design, and site works.
- Conduct site inspections, report on defects and progress, and participate in site meetings to ensure successful service delivery.
- Review monthly progress claims, work with project coordinators to complete claims, and manage weekly and client reporting.
- Manage vendor and trade interfaces, document interactions, and review trade recommendations during procurement.
- Establish regular project meetings with internal and external stakeholders, manage communication, and support internal staff.
- Support project accountants and finance teams in controlling costs.
- Oversee commissioning plans, ensure functional testing of facility operations, and develop status reports.
- Manage defect lists and processes, ensure all required licenses are obtained, and hand over maintenance documentation to appropriate stakeholders.

Hands-on experience is a big plus, especially if you've come from a trade background and moved into construction management. You're confident coordinating contractors, consultants, and internal teams, and you know how to keep services aligned with program, budget, and compliance requirements.
If you're organised, proactive, and thrive on solving problems on site while driving delivery of critical infrastructure projects, this role is for you.
- Demonstrable successful track record of delivering commercial scale electrical, communications and technology projects with complex supply chains and varied skill sets.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with a broad portfolio of internal and external stakeholders.
- Electrical or HVAC qualification or extensive experience in similar environment.
- Advanced Microsoft office and Microsoft project skills, experience using Aconex and Project Management tool suites.
