About the role

We are seeking an experienced CNC Router programmer/operator to join our team at Urban Set in Stapylton, QLD. This full-time role will involve operating CNC machinery to fabricate joinery to specification.

What you'll be doing

  • Operating CNC machine to manufacture joinery components with a high degree of precision
  • Read and interpret shop drawings and CAD/CAM files (e.g., from Auto-CAD, Ezi Panel or similar software)
  • Drafting, Tool-pathing, programming and running CNC will be the primary role requirements.
  • Performing regular maintenance and adjustments on CNC machines to maintain optimal performance
  • Collaborating with the production team to identify and implement process improvements
  • Maintaining a safe and organised work environment, adhering to all relevant health and safety protocols

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as a CNC Operator with at least 2+ years in a similar role.
  • Ability to plan and program works for the week ahead.
  • Technical proficiency in operating CNC machinery and ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to identify and resolve issues
  • Can-do attitude and willing to work collaboratively within the wider team
  • Relevant qualifications in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field would be highly regarded
