The NWRH Theatre is a vibrant, supportive team consisting of four operating theatres providing Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, General Surgery, ENT, Endoscopy and Dental services. NWRH Theatre is committed to a positive workplace culture, and excellent clinical care within a supportive environment. Standard working hours are a variety of shifts between the hours of 0700 and 2230 seven days a week, with the ability to offer flexible working arrangements, and on call service overnight. The Role:
- Associate nurse unit managers provide clear leadership, and support to the nurse unit manager.
- Permanent 22.8hrs/ FN will be responsible for the endoscopy portfolio, while the temporary hours will be responsible for consumable and capital management.
- We are looking for passionate nurses who deliver the greatest quality of care and will collaborate with members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team. It is expected that within the dynamic multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to a strong professional team approach through open communication and a positive supportive environment.
- Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, you will contribute to the health outcomes of your patients through excellence in practice, fostering a learning culture, excellent communication skills and working effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- These roles require endoscopy and perioperative experience as essential.

Details of appointment:
Permanent, part time, shift worker (fully rotational) position, working 22.8 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed date
Multiple fixed term, part time, day worker position, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed date until 25 September 2026.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $106,570 to $112,440 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance withNurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
Access to the Grade 4 salary range $99,455- $105,995 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
- Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type

- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse.
