We are currently looking for an experienced Full time Occupational Therapist (OT) for our practice located at Seymour VIC
Responsibilities
- Deliver person-centred therapy services for NDIS participants.
- Participate in team-based collaboration and supervision.
- Contribute to the achievement of client goals in various life domains (home, school, work, and community).
- Maintain a high standard of clinical documentation and reporting.
- Participate in professional development and ongoing training.
Main Tasks
- Conduct face-to-face and telehealth therapy sessions.
- Plan and prepare for individualised therapy programs tailored to each client's needs and goals.
- Carry out comprehensive assessments of a client's physical, cognitive, emotional, and developmental needs through observation and standardised assessment tools.
- Evaluate how clients function in their living, working, learning, and leisure environments, and recommend adjustments to support participation and independence.
- Design and facilitate therapeutic interventions, including vocational, educational, recreational, and daily living skills training, for individuals and small groups.
- Provide tailored advice and guidance to families, caregivers, educators, and employers on how to create supportive environments that promote the client's wellbeing and independence.
- Prescribe and train clients in the use of adaptive and assistive equipment (e.g., wheelchairs, splints, aids) to help overcome barriers to function.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated support and continuity of care for each client.
- Provide targeted input or specialised advice for unique client needs, such as driver rehabilitation, insurance-related assessments, or medico-legal documentation.
- Keep accurate, up-to-date records of client sessions, therapy plans, and progress in accordance with professional and legal standards.

- Sensory Profiles 
- Functional Capacity Assessments
- Assistive Technology Assessments
- Home Modifications
- Optional areas for skill development: 
- Pain Management 
- Neurological Rehabilitation
- Hand Therapy
- Car modifications/ OT Driving Assessor.
- Participate in structured supervision sessions with the Principal Occupational Therapist.
- Set and meet achievable clinical goals with opportunities for performance-based bonuses.
- Utilise provided equipment including laptop and mobile phone.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent).
- AHPRA Registration (Occupational Therapy Board of Australia).
Relevant Skills Required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage a clinical caseload independently and within a team.
- Competence in report writing and documentation.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Client-centred approach and commitment to quality care.
- Familiarity with NDIS practices and guidelines (preferred).
- Proficient with technology (for telehealth and documentation).
Relevant Experience Required
- Minimum 2 yrs work experience as an OT
- Previous experience in disability, community, or NDIS settings is highly regarded.
- Demonstrated ability to complete assessments and clinical reports (preferred).
Employment Package
- This is a Full-Time position
- Salary: $83,479.76 – $118, Super + Leave Loading + Bonus (based on experience and training; full-time rate)
- Award: Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award (SCHADS)
- Classification and Pay Point: Based on qualifications and experience
