About Us

Cliffside Grocers is a local grocer and coffee shop in the heart of Nightcliff. We're known for exceptional coffee, fresh, high-quality food, and a small menu that we execute with precision and consistency.

We're now looking for an experienced Chef, Cook, or all-round Kitchen Gun to join our team.

The Role

This is a production kitchen role – no made-to-order service, no night shifts – just great food, good people, and room to create. You will also be customer-facing at times, assisting on POS and supporting the floor when required.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook sandwiches, salads, ready-made meals, pastries, and cakes
  • Support prep for grab-and-go foods and daily production runs
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant kitchen
  • Assist with the development of new products and menu ideas
  • Provide customer service and operate POS when required
About You
  • Commercial kitchen experience is essential – this is not a graduate role
  • A creative, reliable, and quality-focused professional
  • Strong understanding of food safety and production timelines
  • Able to work independently and as part of a small team
  • Friendly and approachable with confidence engaging customers
Important Information
  • Sponsorship is not available for this position
  • Working Holiday Visa holders are not preferred, but may be considered depending on length of stay
