The Ulan Coal Mines is an established, efficient, and high production underground longwall mining complex in the western coalfields of NSW. With state-of-the-art mining equipment, the latest technologies, and best in class safety practices, we are leading exporters in thermal coal. The complex comprises of Ulan Underground Mine, Ulan West Underground Mine and Ulan Surface Operations.

As Contracts Coordinator you will:

Provide advice and assistance to site management and Principal's Representatives in the correct protocols and procedures for initiating and undertaking contract works;

Confirm that all Contract processes are undertaken in accordance with the authorised company contract system, policies and procedures;

Assist in or undertake the development of the tender documentation;

Manage the tender process including liaising with key stakeholders, responding to tenderer enquiries and negotiating Contracts;

Ensure that contract documentation meets the required standards and contains all required authorisations;

Maintain an accurate and efficient system to record, store and recover all documentation associated with all contract processes;

Monitor the effectiveness of the contract management process to identify improvements.

To succeed in this role you will:

Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role;

Be an excellent communicator and demonstrate high attention to detail, with strong written ability;

Have a flexible approach and be commercially orientated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team;

Thrive on engaging with all stakeholders and provide sound and timely advice as required;

Hold high level computer skills, including the Microsoft Suite of applications and SAP;

Posses strong negotiation and mediation skills;

Demonstrate a high-level understanding of contract law and procurement processes.
