NEPEAN Power specialises in high quality electrical industrial equipment. Our products can be found throughout the Australian and international mining, construction and industrial sectors.

Our Opportunity

Due to continuous growth, NEPEAN Power are seeking multiple Carpenters to join our workshop team. These positions are full-time opportunities based in our Thornton and Rutherford Workshops.

Your Role

You will contribute to various projects, often consisting of high-quality Switchrooms. Project requirements vary significantly as you will provide Switchrooms for open cut/underground mines, solar farms, wind farms, water treatment plants, airports, and rural areas throughout Australia.

Regular works involve but are not limited to;

  • Installing CFC flooring.
  • Installing steel frames and trusses.
  • Installation of Fyrecheck/Ballistic sheeting.
  • Wall and roof
  • Installing External/internal cladding and flashings (Varying from job to job)
  • Installation of custom doors.
  • Collaborate with Electricians and Boilermakers when necessary.
  • Performing quality checks on finished products
  • Responsible for the housekeeping and cleanliness of your designated workplace and site in general to 5S Standard

The Right Person?

We are looking for candidates with the following capabilities and skills:

  • Relevant Trade Qualifications in Carpentry or equivalent experience as a Construction Trade Assistant.
  • Previous experience in residential or modular construction.
  • Ability to Interpret drawings and work off sketches when required.
  • Ability to use a range of workshop machinery and power tools.
  • Ability to work within deadlines.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team to achieve goals & deadlines.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Personal hand tools (Required)
  • Drivers Licence (Required).
  • Forklift, Boom & Scissor, dogman, confined Space tickets an advantage.
