Position: STEM Educator/Coding Teacher

Overview:

Are you passionate about STEM education? Do you enjoy working with children and want to make a difference in their learning? Robothink is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as casual educators. This role offers full training and provides an excellent entry point for those looking to kickstart their career in education and technology.

Role Type: Casual

Availability: School holidays and after-school shifts are available

Start Date: As soon as practical

Suitable for: CS/IT undergraduates & Homemakers looking for part-time work.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand and execute procedures of the Robothink franchise, including centre setup and presentation.
  • Prepare classrooms before lessons to ensure an optimal learning environment.
  • Lead and engage groups of young children (ages 5-15) during school holiday camps and after-school classes.
  • Effectively communicate with students, parents, and team members.
  • Explain coding concepts effectively using our simplified coding software and step-by-step curriculum.
  • Deliver a high standard of care and education to all students.
  • Attend paid staff meetings and professional development sessions.

Characteristics and Qualifications:

  • Background in Coding, ideally block coding, Java, or Python (No tertiary qualifications required).
  • Passion for STEM education and hands-on learning.
  • Ability to connect and communicate effectively with students and parents.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to RoboThink's innovative teaching methods.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Hours of Operation (as a guide):

  • School Holiday Hours: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm
  • After School Classes: Monday - Friday 3pm - 8pm.

Requirements:

Working with Children Check required (can be obtained upon successful application).

Driving license is an additional benefit.
