About the role

As a part-time Pharmacy Assistant at A1 discount chemist', you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacy team and providing excellent customer service to our patients. With a focus on flexibility and work-life balance, this role based in Croydon Park, NSW will allow you to contribute to the smooth running of our community pharmacy while enjoying a balanced schedule.

What you'll be doing

  1. Assisting our Pharmacists with the dispensing of prescriptions and over-the-counter medicines
  2. Providing friendly and knowledgeable customer service to patients, answering their questions and addressing their needs
  3. Maintaining a clean and organised pharmacy environment
  4. Restocking shelves and ensuring all products are accurately labelled and stored correctly plus regular checking for expiry dates
  5. Processing payments and handling cash and card transactions
  6. Supporting administrative tasks such as filing and data entry
  7. Adhering to all relevant pharmacy regulations and company policies
  8. Packing Webster packs
  9. House keeping duties
  10. Maintaining excellent communication with medical and sales reps so as doctors
  11. Preparing medications orders for regular customers and doing some regular delivery

What we're looking for

  1. Strong customer service skills with a genuine passion for helping people
  2. Basic knowledge of pharmaceutical products and terminology
  3. Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
  4. Competent in using computer systems and technology
  5. Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  6. Confident communication skills, both verbal and written
  7. Flexible and adaptable approach to work
  8. Experience is highly preferred however training can be provided to the right candidates
