Overview

The primary purpose of this position is to design, develop, and maintain scalable desktop and web applications across multiple technology stacks. This includes building APIs, integrating with databases and third-party services, and developing intuitive user interfaces. The role requires versatility across WinForms, Web Forms, React, and Angular, with strong backend expertise in .NET Core, SQL Server, and API development.

Design, implement, and maintain DevOps practices that streamline software delivery pipelines, improve deployment reliability, and enable continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD). A key responsibility is to manage deployment workflows through Octopus Deploy, ensuring seamless and automated delivery of applications across environments.

Provide ongoing assistance and support to the Operations and Data team around backend services, importers, OPUS, and SCRM related queries.

Duties

Include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain desktop applications using WinForms.
  • Develop and maintain web applications using Web Forms, React, and Angular.
  • Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs using .NET Core.
  • Integrate APIs with SQL Server and other relational databases.
  • Implement and manage WCF services for communication between applications.
  • Ensure seamless integration with internal and external APIs.
  • Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code in C#, VB.NET, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features.
  • Stay up to date with the latest frameworks, tools, and industry trends.
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Octopus Deploy, and related tools.
  • Integrate source control (Git/TFS) with build and deployment processes.
  • Configure and manage automated deployments across development, staging, and production environments.
  • Ensure security best practices are applied to pipelines, including secret management and access control.
  • Work closely with QA to integrate automated testing into the deployment pipeline.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to builds, deployments, and environment configuration.
  • Stay up to date with modern DevOps trends, tools, and practices.
  • Working with SQL to build reports on system data and CheckQueries for monitoring.
  • Support in house software requirements.
  • Develop and maintain SWIFT Payment type files for a seamless experience for client funding.

Essential Skills

The following are desirable:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong proficiency in C#, VB.NET, .NET Framework, and .NET Core.
  • Experience with WinForms, Web Forms, React, and Angular (latest versions).
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Solid understanding of REST API design and implementation.
  • Experience with Entity Framework (EF6 and EF Core), LINQ, and ADO.NET.
  • Strong SQL Server experience (database design, queries, optimization).
  • Knowledge of version control systems (Git, TFS).
  • Experience with WCF services and Windows Services.
  • Experience in SWIFT Messaging and System Integration and support.
  • Experience in FIX Messaging and ROE Development.
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes advantageous).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline design in Azure DevOps (YAML pipelines preferred).
  • Strong experience with Octopus Deploy (projects, lifecycles, tenants, deployment targets).

Advantageous Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in financial services or equity portfolio reporting.
  • Familiarity with authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, IdentityServer).
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, Azure DevOps).
  • Experience with message brokers (RabbitMQ).
  • Experience with DevExpress components.
  • Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (xUnit, NUnit).

  • Proven experience implementing pipelines with Octopus Deploy and Azure DevOps.
  • Minimum 2 years in Angular and .NET Core API development (advantageous).
  • Practical experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $140,000.00 – $160,000.00 per year
