About the Role

Ready to kick your career into gear? Thiess is on the lookout for a skilled and safety-focused Tyre Fitter to join our team on a permanent full-time basis at the QCoal Northern Hub – an open-cut coal mining project just 10 minutes south of Collinsville in the Bowen Basin.

Reporting to the Tyre Supervisor, you'll be a key player in keeping our fleet moving, working hands-on with some of the biggest equipment in mining.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Removing and fitting rims and wheel assemblies on heavy earthmoving equipment
• Refitting and maintaining tyres to the highest safety standards
• Performing regular tyre pressure checks, adjustments, and reports
• Using technical manuals, bulletins, and computer-based systems to guide your work
• Proactively identifying issues before they become problems
• Following all site procedures to ensure safety and compliance

About You

We're looking for someone who brings experience, precision, and a passion for getting the job done right.

To be successful, you'll have:

• A minimum of 2 years experience as a tyre fitter (mining or heavy earthmoving preferred)
• Hold current AUR21920 Cert II in Automotive Tyre Servicing or AURKTJ011 & AURKTJ012
• A HR driver's licence (preferred but not essential)
• Solid post-trade experience in the mining, heavy earthmoving, or hydraulic excavator industries
• A proactive, safety-first attitude and strong teamwork skills
