HLG STEAMist Education believes every child deserves to have fun with STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Maths). Through our PLAYfocus program, we provide in-home care and engaging educational experiences for children from newborn to 15 years old. We're now looking for passionate and professional educators to join our growing team.
About the Role
As a PLAYfocus Educator, you'll provide high-quality, responsive care in children's own homes. You'll create safe, stimulating, and nurturing environments that encourage independence, curiosity, and emotional wellbeing while supporting children's developmental needs through play.
This role is flexible and family-focused. You may be working with babies, toddlers, or school-aged children, depending on family needs. Excursions, outdoor play, and hands-on STEAM activities are a regular part of our sessions.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking educators who are warm, reliable, and child-focused. To be successful, you should have:
- Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or higher qualification in teaching/education), or currently studying towards one.
- Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check – QLD).
- Current National Police Check.
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certification (HLTAID012 or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience working with children (in childcare, schools, or nanny/educator roles).
- A commitment to child safety, wellbeing, and professional practice.
- Your own transport (travel allowances apply) or company car.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual
Pay: $28.50 – $33.48 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 35 per week
