About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced MYP Coordinator to lead and manage the implementation of the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (Years 6–10). The successful candidate will bring strong leadership, organisational skills, and a collaborative approach to ensure high-quality learning and teaching across the programme.
This role is pivotal in supporting teachers, guiding curriculum development, and engaging students in authentic learning experiences aligned with IB standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the planning, delivery, and evaluation of the MYP across all subject areas.
- Support and mentor teachers in curriculum design, assessment, and IB pedagogy.
- Ensure compliance with IB requirements, including preparation for verification and evaluation visits.
- Monitor student progress and ensure effective reporting processes.
- Liaise with the IB organisation, school leadership, and wider community to strengthen programme delivery.
- Promote the philosophy of the IB and the ethos of AIA within the school community.
Key Selection Criteria
- Accreditation with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA).
- Experience in curriculum leadership and a deep understanding of the IB MYP framework.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire staff and students.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and lead collaborative teams.
- Commitment to authentic learning, contemporary pedagogy, and student-centred practice.
- Supportive of the ethos of the Islamic faith and the vision of AIA.
