Newfurn Floor Coverings is a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation operating in the Retail, Building and Construction industry. With a commitment to excellence and innovation, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional value to our customers and stakeholders.

We are currently looking to appoint a talented individual to be the next Group Manager Retail Development. You will be responsible for the business activities including the development of Strategic Plans, Financial and Operational Management and Member Services for Style Flooring Interiors. Reporting directly to the CEO of Newfurn Floor Coverings.

This position is based at Newfurn Central Office in Rowville and includes regular time spent at store level and interstate travel.

Your Contributions:

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of retail sites, identifying new business opportunities and driving targeted acquisitions.
  • Coach and support Retailers to deliver high performance, ensuring alignment with Group Policies
  • Lead key account management activities to meet volume and margin targets.
  • Conduct regular site visits, performance reviews, and implement action plans to improve site operations.
  • Champion customer experience initiatives.
  • Act as a business consultant to Retailers, advising on inventory, merchandising, financial management, and staff development.
  • Maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships, ensuring timely and effective communication

Personal and Professional attributes:

  • Proven sales experience, ideally in a retailing environment.
  • Strong change management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Commercial acumen with experience in budgeting, P&L analysis, and contract management.
  • Strong project management and planning capabilities.
  • Must possess natural leadership qualities and be an effective communicator
  • Must be well groomed and presented, with a confident stature and a friendly, collaborative and communicative manner
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
