The Role

This is an integral role reporting to the Operations Manager, with overall responsibility for operation of their warehouses in Australia and managing a team of 8-10 staff.

This position assumes total accountability for the accuracy and integrity of the stock information. The key functions of this position include receipt, management and dispatch of inventory, all logistics functions, co-ordination of activities with other departments along with the management of Sektor's OH&S obligations in the warehouse.

• Manage Warehouse Team Prioritisation of work to be completed, Allocation of tasks to team members, Management of team's performance
• Receiving of Goods Ensure goods received and recorded accurately in a timely fashion and identify and report on any variances or damaged goods received and address in a timely fashion
• Ensure goods are correctly labeled (where required) and stored in a safe and secure manner
• Manage data entry to ensure location of goods is accurately recorded
• Dispatch of Goods Ensure goods are picked, packed, dispatched and recorded in a timely fashion and appropriately labelled and consigned for transport
• Manage any reported variances in goods received by customer and the shipping of non-inventory items
• LogisticsManage shipping of goods from suppliers and to customers
• Coordinate all supplier relationships with forwarders and carriers
• Warehouse Management Ensure warehouse layout is operationally efficient
• Perform regular stock take of inventory and manage stock variances
• Ensure correct and safe storage of all goods in the warehouse
• Co-ordination With Other DepartmentsEnsure co-ordination of warehouse activities with administration & finance, sales and service teams to ensure agreed dispatch SLAs are met
• Manage processes and workload with service team to ensure all service jobs are completed and delivered in a timely fashion
• Notify key personnel of discrepancies or delays or of any operational issues
• Safety and Security Maintain all warehouse equipment in safe and working condition and ensure proper training of all warehouse staff
• Maintain and manage all safety standards in the warehouse and security systems

The Candidate

• To be succesful in this position you need:Minimum of ten (10) years experience in a warehouse environment at a senior level
• Minimum of five (5) years experience in a warehouse environment as warehouse manager
• Forklift licence (high lift)
• Higher School Certificate or Equivalent
• Coverage and knowledge of all standard warehouse practices
• Experience in a computerized warehousing environment
• Understanding and meeting both internal and external customer demands
• Experience in change management and systems implementation is highly desirable
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Organisational skills with accuracy and attention to detail being a prime attribute
• Ability to prioritise and manage work flows within a busy environment
• Strong understanding of warehouse process best practices
• Display an enthusiastic and customer focused attitude
• Basic Microsoft Office knowledge including Excel and Outlook
• Knowledge of equipment safety standards
