The role
At Haileybury, we prioritise the holistic development of our students, recognising the crucial role that mental health plays in their overall wellbeing. We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Psychologist to join our team at the Keysborough Campus, supporting Junior and Middle School students (Prep to Year 8). This is a Part-Time, fixed-term position commencing 6 October 2025, with on-campus attendance required during term time.
Preferred working days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, though we offer flexibility for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a team of Psychologists and pastoral care leaders to implement a whole-school approach to wellbeing, focusing on resilience, connectedness, and proactive programs.
- Provide counselling services for students, managing individual cases using a systems approach, and referring to external providers as needed.
- Deliver staff development where appropriate.
- Attend meetings with parents/teachers, Pastoral Care meetings, and other meetings as required.
- Facilitate wellbeing initiatives for the broader school community.
- Contribute to NCCD and special provisions submissions.
- Work with parents, teachers, and external professionals in the best interests of the student.
Academic qualifications
- APAC Accredited Master's Degree, Combined Masters/PhD, Professional Doctorate in Psychology or 5+1 internship approved by PsyBA for general registration.
- Psychologist registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency).
