About the Role:

This dual role offers a mix of truck driving and yard duties, including:

  • Truck Driving Duties:
  • Safely transport freight including materials, excavators, bobcats, and heavy plant equipment.
  • Load, unload, and secure freight in line with safety standards.
  • Complete consignment paperwork, PODs, and scanning with accuracy.
  • Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and report any issues.
  • Comply with Chain of Responsibility (COR) and transport legislation
  • Yardperson Duties:
  • Load and unload deliveries for clients.
  • Pick, pack, and label stock for customer orders.
  • Work closely with dispatch to manage paperwork and delivery schedules.
  • Assist customers collecting timber and hardware.
  • Keep the yard tidy, organized, and running smoothly.

What You'll Need:
  • A valid HC Licence with a good driving record.
  • Current Forklift License
  • Physically fit – capable of manual handling and repetitive lifting.
  • Strong attention to detail and teamwork.
  • Confidence reversing trailers.
  • Experience within the construction industry (preferred but not essential).
  • Great communication and customer service skills.
