Job DescriptionWho we are and what we offer:
Interested in shaping skylines across the globe?
Multiplex is a premier construction company with a simple purpose: to construct a better future. As part of our team, you'll have the opportunity to help deliver some of the world's most iconic projects, supported by approachable leadership and an inclusive culture that puts our people first.
You will also have access to a range of holistic benefits including:
- Bonus schemes, annual remuneration reviews and salary continuance insurance.
- Health and Wellbeing programs, including annual voluntary skin and health checks.
- Benefits to support parents and families, including 20 weeks paid parental leave regardless of gender, payment of superannuation on unpaid leave, and transition coaching.
- Professional career development opportunities and a wealth of learning offerings through the Multiplex Learning Academy.
- An industry-leading approach to flexible work to enable better work-life balance.
Who we're looking for:
Our people are united by a common belief: that we can outperform in everything we do.
We are seeking a Submissions Coordinator & Writer to join Multiplex's Submissions team, a close-knit group of five that forms part of the broader New Business team, based at our Sydney Head Office. This role plays a pivotal role in delivering high-quality submissions that showcase Multiplex's capabilities and align with its values.
The Submissions Coordinator & Writer is responsible for coordinating and producing compelling written content for major bids, tenders, awards, proposals, presentations, and capability statements. Working closely with the Submissions Manager and / or Coordinators, along with the project teams, you will manage assigned bids, craft tailored responses and ensure all submission materials meet Multiplex's high standards in both content and presentation. Content contributions may include executive summaries, award submissions, personnel profiles, compliance documentation and technical information (from construction methodology to management plans) - each reflecting client objectives while embodying the Multiplex brand.
This role suits someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a passion for writing, and enjoys working collaboratively to deliver impactful and polished submissions.
On a day-to-day basis the Submissions Coordinator & Writer will:
- Write and edit content for EOIs, tenders, awards, proposals, presentations, and lessons learnt.
- Coordinate submission materials, ensuring consistency in style and formatting across documents.
- Manage project data and templates, including updates in Multiplex Connect and standard response libraries.
- Prepare and maintain collateral, such as staff CVs, project sheets, and company information.
- Collaborate across teams and provide general support to the New Business team and national submissions network.
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- 3–5 years' experience in writing for tenders, editorial, communications, or similar roles.
- Exceptional writing and formatting skills, with strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, engaging content.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) plus Adobe Creative Suite experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interpret written, verbal, and visual/diagrammatic instructions. Experience in the built environment sector preferred but not essential.
A note on diversity:
Diversity is about celebrating the ways we are all different and appreciating the unique qualities that every employee brings. We invite applications from people of all genders, cultures and walks of life. Research shows that women and people from underrepresented groups are less like to apply for roles if they don't meet every qualification. So even if you don't match all the criteria - if you are passionate about helping to construct a better future, we'd love to hear from you.
We are committed to providing a barrier-free work environment and can support with reasonable adjustments at any stage of the recruitment process. Simply inform our Talent Acquisition team during your conversation with them.
