Rutherford Family Medical Practice is a privately owned, fully accredited Medical Practice that currently has a casual position available for an experienced professional medical receptionist to work on a casual basis with cover for sick/annual leave.

Selection Criteria:

  • Previous experience in a medical or general practice reception role (preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to provide a high level of customer service, while maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy
  • Strong organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and assist patients with queries and appointments in person and over the phone, in a courteous and professional manner
  • Process patient billings and payments using Best Practice software
  • Perform general administrative duties including scanning, filing, and data entry
  • Provide daily support to doctors, nurses, and the wider practice team

This role requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with a high level of reliability and professionalism.

Working Hours for this role :

Between 8:30am – 5:00pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
