Fresh Island Seafood (FISHI) is located in Cannonvale in the Whitsundays (Queensland) and is looking for a passionate Catering Sashi/Sushi Chef to join our team of dedicated catering staff offering the very best seafood product to our local and visiting guests.

FISHI is seeking an enthusiastic person who can produce the highest quality sushi, sashimi and seafood presentation.  The right candidate will need strong knowledge of seafood and its preparation. (Filleting, slicing, production of sushi rolls, sashimi etc).

Responsibly will include (but not limited to):

Planning, preparing and cooking of meals as per our menu

Maintaining standards of quality and service

Communication with management on a daily basis

Ensuring kitchen operations adhere to Food Safety Standards at all times

We are looking for an individual who:

Have at least 1-3 years of Sashimi grade slicing skills experience with demonstrable knowledge of kitchen operations

Has a passion for the hospitality/catering industry

Have the ability to work well with a team

Has strong communication and organisational skills

Is well presented

The job is a full-time position working Monday to Friday. Occasional weekend work may be required
