Clinical Quality Coordinator

Alice Springs, Northern Territory, Australia Purple House WDNWPT Full time $80,000 - $120,000 per year
Purple House

Purple House began 22 years ago with a knock-out exhibition at the Art Gallery of NSW which raised over a million dollars. From that moment, families in the most remote parts of the desert created their own organisation – one built on caring, compassion, and determination.

In 2004, Purple House delivered its first dialysis service in Kintore, the first of its kind, and since then we have expanded across 20 remote communities in NT, SA and WA. We also run two mobile dialysis trucks, provide a range of support services, and have grown into a successful social enterprise with big plans for the future.

Our mission is to improve the lives of people with renal failure, reunite families, and reduce the impact of kidney disease in our communities. We are run by Aboriginal people for Aboriginal people, and our values of Walytja (family), Tjukurrpa (dreaming), Ngurra (Country), and Kuunyi (compassion) guide everything we do.

About the Role

As the Clinical Quality Coordinator, you will work collaboratively across our Dialysis and Primary Health Care teams to embed best practice quality initiatives and processes. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with accreditation, legislative and regulatory requirements, while supporting continuous improvement and a strong culture of safety and quality.

You will:

  • Promote, facilitate and build capability in quality, risk management and improvement frameworks.
  • Provide expert support and advice to clinical staff on quality in assessment, planning, review and coordination of patient care.
  • Monitor compliance with accreditation and licensing processes.
  • Lead and review clinical audits, analyse outputs and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate on incident reporting and quality initiatives.
  • Coordinate the development and review of clinical policies, guidelines and procedures.
  • Support implementation of the National Safety and Quality in Healthcare Standards.
  • Undertake remote visits to embed quality practices across dialysis sites.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture through quality leadership and role modelling.
About You

You are compassionate, flexible, resilient, and passionate about improving health outcomes. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are confident providing quality leadership and advice.

To be successful you will have:

  • Current registration with AHPRA.
  • Minimum two years' recent Haemodialysis nursing experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accreditation standards and continuous improvement processes.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Renal Nursing (or willingness to undertake).
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Current NT driver's licence.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide clinical quality support, audit analysis and policy development.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and relationship-building skills.
  • Cultural awareness and respect for Aboriginal communities.
  • Unrestricted working rights in Australia
What We Offer
  • Attractive salary with 12% super + generous salary packaging options.
  • 6 weeks annual leave + 17.5% leave loading.
  • Relocation assistance to support your move to Central Australia.
  • A unique opportunity to be part of an Aboriginal community-controlled health service.
