We are looking for talented Chefs and Cooks to join our team—people who thrive in a fast-paced kitchen, have creativity and skill, and are excited about preparing food that supports a holistic, healthy lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for the kitchen's daily operations.
- Manage food ordering and liaise with suppliers.
- Monitor and control stock levels, ensuring correct rotation and minimal waste.
- Maintain food profit margins and operate within set budgets.
- Implement and uphold health, hygiene, and safety standards.
- Oversee kitchen accounts and staff rosters.
- Train and support kitchen staff to ensure consistency and high standards.
- Prepare, season, and cook food in line with recipes and dietary requirements.
- Ensure all food presentation meets The Shack Café's brand standards.
About You
- Chef: Minimum 2 years' experience (preferred).
- Cook: Minimum 1 year's experience (preferred).
- Strong cooking skills with creativity and flair.
- Passion for healthy, wholesome food and an interest in nutrition.
- Deep knowledge of ingredients and produce.
- Ability to maintain consistency and quality under pressure.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to delegate effectively.
- Reliable, motivated, and enthusiastic about working in a collaborative team.
