Job Description

Position Objectives

Financial Counselling aims to result in a client's financial problems being partially or fully resolved; a client being able to make informed decisions on the best course of action to resolve their financial difficulties; and or a client gaining an improved ability to manage their financial affairs in the future.

The Financial Counselling Program is based in Mildura and delivers services from a variety of settings; this includes regular outreach services to the communities of Robinvale, Swan Hill and Kerang, together with telephone counselling and/or community education for the Northern and Southern regions of the Mallee. The program also outreaches into New South Wales to support cross border communities and may provide financial literacy education with other team members.

Desired Skills and Experience

Qualifications and Experience:

• Diploma of Financial Counselling or relevant qualification which provides eligibility for membership of FCVic and experience in a financial counselling role.
• A current driver's licence and a willingness to travel and preparedness to be accommodated overnight when required.
