This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Grade 2 dietitian to be based in a 1.0EFT 12-month fixed-term role (parental leave backfill) within the Nutrition and Speech Pathology Department at our Moorabbin and Melbourne campuses of this specialist cancer centre.

We are seeking a dietitian with some clinical experience in oncology who is passionate about working in oncology, has demonstrated leadership skills, is hardworking, adaptable and has excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills. A structured and supportive supervision model is provided in addition to opportunities for accessing mentoring and professional development. Involvement in department quality, education/training, projects and research in line with department goals is expected.

The successful applicant will provide evidence based specialised nutrition and dietetic services to inpatients and ambulatory patients in a multidisciplinary care setting at the Peter Mac, noting this position will be split across the Moorabbin and Melbourne campuses. This position is not linked with a specific clinical workload, however the successful applicant will work in/across major tumour streams, including head and neck, gastrointestinal and/or haematology, as negotiated within the department. This includes seeing patients across the entire trajectory including patients from all tumour streams and undergoing all types of cancer treatment.
