Orthodontic Dental Assistant

Are you a friendly, organised, and motivated Dental Assistant looking to join a welcoming orthodontic team? Earlwood Orthodontics is seeking a qualified and experienced Dental Assistant / Receptionist to support our specialist orthodontic practice in a part-time role.

As an integral member of our small, supportive team, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional care to our patients. Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Chairside assisting for orthodontic treatments
• Infection control and sterilisation
• Preparing treatment rooms and coordinating lab work
• Taking photos and scans, managing lab work and stock
• Providing patients with oral hygiene instructions and guidance
• Assisting with reception tasks as needed, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, and data entry
• Helping with social media posts and other team support tasks

Roster / Hours:

• 4-day week (approx 35 hours)
• Monday, Wednesday, Thursday (9-hour clinic day)
• Friday: 8-hour non-clinic day (reception, social media, stock and lab management, other support tasks)

We are looking for someone who is:

• Has dental assisting experience (Cert III dental assisting highly regarded, but not essential)
• Experienced in orthodontic chairside assisting (preferred, but not essential)
• Knowledgeable in infection control and sterilisation procedures
• Friendly, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a small team
• Well-organised, with excellent multitasking, communication, and presentation skills

• Work in a modern, specialist orthodontic practice with a supportive team culture
