We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Technical Architect to join our team. As a Senior Technical Architect, you will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, architecture and end-to-end delivery of container platforms using Kubernetes and Rancher across on-premise, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.
• Design and implement secure and multi-tenant Kubernetes clusters using RKE2, Harvester, NeuVector & SUSE Observability
• Architect and implement CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, monitoring, logging, and backup strategies within the Kubernetes ecosystem.
• Define high availability and disaster recovery strategies across data centers for Rancher-managed clusters.
• Guide teams on Kubernetes-native patterns (e.g., operators, controllers, CRDs) and best practices for platform resilience and scalability.
• Lead infrastructure automation using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Helm.
• Conduct platform performance tuning, cost optimisation and root cause analysis (RCA) for platform issues.
• Implement and manage Kubernetes security policies using NeuVector.
• Collaborate with DevOps, SRE, and security teams to align platform architecture with application and compliance needs.
• Mentor junior engineers and perform architectural reviews and technical due diligence.

Required Skills:

• Deep hands-on experience with Rancher, RKE1, RKE2, and downstream/upstream Kubernetes clusters.
• Strong knowledge in deploying and managing Edge computing solutions using SUSE EIB (Edge Image Builder).
• Expertise in NeuVector for runtime container security, network segmentation, and threat detection.
• Experience with Harvester for hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) and VM orchestration.
• Proficiency in Helm, Kustomize, and managing Kubernetes manifests at scale.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes security (RBAC, PodSecurity, OPA/Gatekeeper, network policies).
• Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Fluent Bit, and other observability tools.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux.
• Experience with multi-cluster and multi-tenant Kubernetes architectures.
• Familiarity with hybrid cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, VMware) and infrastructure automation.
• Experience with extending Kubernetes using CRDs and ability to write custom controllers if needed.
• Familiarity with tools like Cross Plane
• Experience in building developer portal using backstage or equivalent tools

Preferred Qualifications:

• A Relevant bachelor or higher qualification with minimum 10 years' experience or above
• SUSE Certified Deployment Specialist in Rancher Kubernetes Engine 2
• CNCF certifications (CKA, CKAD, CKS)
• Experience with Longhorn, Ceph, or other storage technologies

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $100,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year
