Hudson is proud to partner with an Australian federal government organisation in the search for a Cyber Security SASE specialist to join them and architect/advise them on the implementation of a SASE solution in their environment as part of a broader cyber security uplift. This role will oversee the project technically from end to end including the scope, design, solution/implementation partner selection, delivery, and IRAP readiness. This is not a hands on role, rather 50/50 across architecture and advisory.

Contract: 6 months + 6 month extension starting 2026

Rate: Approx. $1150 per day

Responsibilities

  • Work with the business to scope the solution effectively and make sure that the solution design will meet all business/security requirements
  • Fairly assess all solutions and provide the business with specialsied information on their solution options so that an informed product selection can be made
  • Architect the solution for delivery
  • Oversee the delivery, guiding technical teams (internal & external) in relation to the design and expectations
  • Assist in the preparing the solution for IRAP assessment

Requirements

  • Prior experience with the scope, design, and implementation, of a SASE solution in a large, complex, environment (preferably federal government)
  • Ability to work with delivery teams, guiding them on the design requirements and holding them to account against these
  • 10+ years in IT/cyber security
  • Ability to comprehensively scope out the requirements to make sure no gaps are found later in the project
  • Good communication skills and the ability to effective professional relationships quickly
  • Prior experience preparing solutions for security assessment against regulatory standards, ideally against the ISM for IRAP assessment
  • NV1 Clearance mandatory. Due to a tight deadline of this project only candidates with an NV1 will be considered
