Job description:

The Organisation Design Principal is an exciting opportunity working at Perth CBD office.

This role plays a critical part in designing and planning for Synergy's future workforce, building organisational capability and effectiveness and is a key member of a high performing team delivering initiatives that enable the People, Safety and Environment's strategic plan.

The OD Principal leads and supports high-impact projects that also aligns with Synergy's current and future strategy. By applying deep expertise and working collaboratively across teams, the role contributes to building a more agile, capable, and future-ready organisation. As a subject matter expert, you will work with a high degree of independence and empowered to deliver on multiple different focus areas.

This role will contribute to the design and development of Synergy's strategic workforce plan and lead projects related to current structure optimisation and future organisational design efficiencies. These focus areas will evolve over time, reflecting the dynamic nature of the organisation's needs and priorities.

Job responsibilities:

  • Co-design and develop for the Strategic Workforce plan for the future
  • Identify and build plans to develop organisational capabilities that future proof the organisation
  • Collaborate with senior leaders and business units to align workforce strategies and organisational objectives
  • Lead operating model reviews to align structure with strategic objectives
  • Stays abreast of contemporary research and practices and is able to conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis to innovate and problem solve.
  • Determines priority value with stakeholders to produce products/services aligned to demands and needs.

Profile description:

  • Degree qualifications in organisational development, or human resources.
  • At least ten years' experience in human resources with deep experience in organisational design and/or development.
  • Ability to undertake research and analyse data and develop products and services aligned to strategic goals
  • Ability to easily work with diverse groups in the organisation to develop strong relationships.
  • Experience in, and understanding of workplace dynamics, strategic workforce, systems, and processes.
