Technical Delivery Lead - Infrastructure Migration

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Delivery Lead to oversee a large-scale infrastructure and Google migration program within a complex, multi-year transformation initiative.

This role is responsible for leading one of the most critical delivery streams within a broader cloud and migration program. The successful candidate will take accountability for end-to-end delivery across multiple teams, ensuring momentum, quality, and stakeholder confidence are maintained throughout the program lifecycle.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring close engagement with project managers, technical teams, and end users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end delivery leadership for a large-scale infrastructure and Google migration program

  • Oversee migration of several hundred organisational tenants, including:

  • Integration of newly discovered environments into scope

  • Investigation and decommissioning of legacy tenants

  • Maintain a consistent and sustainable migration run rate, including transition from medium to high complexity migrations

  • Lead delivery across multiple delivery teams (approx. 15 resources), including Project Managers, technical analysts, and engineers
  • Act as escalation point for delivery issues, risks, and stakeholder resistance
  • Ensure quality, consistency, and governance across all technical delivery and stakeholder engagements
  • Spend the initial phase embedded with the delivery teams, shadowing PMs and engaging directly with operational stakeholders
  • Build delivery capability that can be sustained and transitioned into long-term operational support

Required Experience & Skills

  • 15+ years' experience in technology delivery roles
  • Proven experience leading large-scale infrastructure migration programs

  • Strong technical understanding of:

  • Infrastructure and platform migrations

  • Google Workspace and SharePoint migrations

  • Core infrastructure services (identity, networking, DHCP, foundational services)

  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-team delivery environments

  • Comfortable operating in complex, high-volume stakeholder environments
  • Strong leadership presence with the resilience to manage day-to-day delivery challenges
  • Willingness to be hands-on and close to delivery, not purely governance-focused

  • Large enterprise or government environments
  • Education or highly distributed user environments
  • Multi-year transformation programs
  • Infrastructure-heavy programs with operational impact
