to find a skilled
Tester
with expertise in
mediation, billing systems
, and
BVT (Build Verification Testing)
. This role offers
flexibility
– open to both
permanent
and
contract
engagements.

Role Overview:

As a Telecom Tester, you'll play a critical role in ensuring data accuracy and system integrity across complex telecom platforms. You'll test mediation and billing systems end-to-end, validate CDR data flows, and contribute to the quality of production builds through Build Verification Testing (BVT).


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct end-to-end testing for telecom
    mediation
    and
    billing systems
    .
  • Validate data accuracy and consistency across
    CDRs
    , mediation layers, and downstream billing platforms.
  • Perform
    Build Verification Testing (BVT)
    on new builds to ensure stability before deeper testing.
  • Execute
    functional
    ,
    regression
    , and
    system integration
    tests.
  • Detect and report data discrepancies, ensuring correct transformation through mediation systems.
  • Simulate various telecom usage scenarios (voice, data, SMS) to validate billing accuracy.
  • Automate test validation using
    SQL
    ,
    Python
    ,
    Shell scripts
    , etc.
  • Collaborate on
    requirement reviews
    , provide test estimates, and feedback.
  • Maintain clear test documentation and contribute to QA knowledge repositories.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years in
    telecom testing
    , especially
    billing
    ,
    mediation
    , and
    data validation
    .
  • Experience with
    Build Verification Testing (BVT)
    processes and methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of
    CDR parsing
    , mediation workflows, and billing systems.
  • Hands-on experience with tools like
    HP ALM
    ,
    JIRA
    ,
    Postman
    ,
    SOAP UI
    , etc.
  • Proficiency in SQL and scripting for test automation and validation.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with
    Oracle BRM
    and
    Comptel Mediation
    .
  • Understanding of
    3G/4G/5G
    , prepaid/postpaid services, and telecom charging models.
  • ISTQB
    or equivalent testing certification.
