As a Procurement & Contract Management Lead, your key responsibilities include:

  • Manage procurement approval workflows, monitoring progression of tender submissions, service provider evaluations, contract negotiations, purchase orders, requisitions and other paperwork in the context of procurement.
  • Manage property leases and revenue generating licenses including process documentation, initiation, renewal, invoicing and expiry processes.
  • Monitor service provider performance addressing any issues with Service Level Agreements, contract performance, client expectations and outcomes.
  • Resolve problems, taking into consideration established management systems, professional standards, budget parameters or known equipment capacity.
  • Monitor, assess, and ensure the value and performance of service provider agreements.
  • Plan, develop and oversee the contracts register to capture information relating to business ownership, expiry dates, contractual service level details, contract performance indicators and any other information deemed relevant for service provider management in line with the Victorian Government Purchasing Board framework and Chisholm's framework.
  • Develop systems to ensure requests are responded to in a timely manner and client satisfaction levels are enhanced.

ABOUT YOU

You are a highly motivated individual with well-developed skills in procurement and service provider management, preferably within a government setting, the ability to analyse client needs/requirements and translate them into system specifications and experience working with clients and service providers to manage contracts and performance requirements.

You have experience in preparing and processing paperwork related to tender submissions, service provider evaluations, contract negotiations, purchase orders, requisitions and other paperwork in the context of procurement, excellent analytical, problem?solving and decision?making skills, with the ability to provide advice on and resolve complex issues of an operational nature within a large, diverse organisation with competing demands for human, financial and physical resources and you have highly developed and engaging communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to liaise and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications required for the role

Relevant Degree and relevant post graduate qualification and experience; or lesser formal qualifications with experience with management expertise in technical or administrative fields; or equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education /training.
