Mechanical Draftperson

Location: Canning Vale

Camco Engineering is a recognised industry leader providing high-quality services to the mining and resources sector. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineering Draftsperson to join our team at our Belmont facility.

About the Role:

We are looking for a candidate with strong experience in the repair and manufacture of mining process equipment and other fixed plant. This role requires solid 3D drafting skills and a sound understanding of workshop practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create accurate 3D models and detailed drawings using SolidWorks.
• Reverse engineer and measure existing components with a high degree of accuracy.
• Work closely with workshop teams to support engineering and manufacturing processes.
• Ensure all drafting work meets required specifications, quality standards, and timelines.
• Adhere to all HSE and QA standards and contribute to a safe working environment.

About You:

• Proven experience as a mechanical design draftsperson, ideally within the mining or heavy industrial sector.
• Proficient in SolidWorks.
• Hands-on experience with reverse engineering and component measurement.
• Previous exposure to machining and fabrication processes is highly regarded.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Effective communicator with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Permanent or Australian resident.
