The City of Bunbury are seeking a friendly, professional, and motivated Cafe Attendant to join our team at the South West Sport Centre. In this role, you will be responsible for operating our on-site cafe, providing a warm welcome and ensuring our customers have a positive experience.
This is a part-time position, working 30 hours per fortnight. The hours will vary, with shifts ranging from early mornings that consist of a 6am starting time, to evenings that consist of a 7:45pm finish time, and also including weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold beverages, snacks, and light meals
- Greet and assist customers in a courteous and helpful manner, both in person and over the counter
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in the cafe area
- Handle cash and card transactions efficiently and accurately
- Liaise with other team members to ensure smooth cafe operations
- Contribute to the overall success and positive customer experience at the South West Sport Centre
About You:
- Experience in a customer-facing cafe or hospitality role beneficial
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
- Proficient in using Point of Sale (POS) systems
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible schedule to accommodate evenings and weekends
